| Sheryl has travelled in Asia, Europe and in North America. She has faced grief and has worked through a very serious clinical depression and returned from the depths of that darkness. She loves to laugh, read mystery novels, watch movies and is a recreational shopper. She has been guest speaker for womens groups and teacher training events. She is co-author of a take home cross-cultural curriculum for children and a contributing author to a curriculum teaching children about the people groups of the world.
Most recently Sheryl has been volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross. She serves in the branch office and is also on call as a reception centre/shelter manager in case of evacuation in Peel Region. She is a member of the provincial major disaster response team which qualifies her to be deployed anywhere in North America in case of disaster.
