RECOVERY COACHING

Returning to full responsibilities after a time of extended illness can sometimes feel like jumping off a cliff.  Whether you suffered from burn-out or depression, were injured in an accident or fought a life-threatening disease, you do not remain the same  person.

If you are contemplating changes to your career path, place of employment, or returning to the exact same position, things will be different because of your experience.  Co-workers and friends may respond oddly and be uncomfortable.  They may not know what to say, speak inappropriately or say nothing at all.

Even if you are not returning to a paying job, it is still highly stressful to once again pick up all the responsibilities of living in todays world.  Resolutions to keep life in balance and keep your priorities straight will be challenged.  You may be tempted to do too much too soon.  Fear of relapse is common and expected.  You may doubt your ability or have difficulty dealing with all the changes that occurred while your life was "on hold".

With a background in ministry, her current position as a career and life coach and her personal experience of being off work and in treatment for over a year, Sheryl is ideally suited for recovery coaching.  She will not only encourage you but will hold you accountable for the goals you have set and will be totally committed to your success.  She knows how hard some of your healing steps can be.  She does not take that for granted.  She also knows how important it is for you to find the strength and the wisdom to keep moving one step at a time.
